“It is a critical situation for everybody whose job is on the line … we have been working diligently with members of Congress and the Senate … trying to get an extension of the Cares Act … without it, several thousand workers will be furloughed now and, in the future,” says Gary Peterson, vice-president of the Transport Workers Union International.
