President Trump has praised an antibody cocktail as a potential cure for covid-19. But that drug was developed by a biotech firm named Regeneron, using human cells obtained from a fetus. This, even as the president insists on restricting access to abortion and the Republican party opposes research on stem cells derived from an embryo.

The president is claiming he feels well and his doctor has cleared him to resume public events this weekend. But, many questions remain unanswered. Here’s the latest.

“When ... the president pulled back in that tweet on the relief bill, what he was trying to do was gain some control over the negotiations that he felt he had been losing," says Lara Brown, director of the Graduate School of Political Management at George Washington University.

The number of covid-19 cases linked to the president and his inner circle continues to grow. At least 24 people have tested positive so far and almost the entire Joint Chiefs of Staff is in quarantine.

President Trump is now home, after spending the weekend in hospital following his coronavirus diagnosis. The White House medical team says it will monitor the president, who, according to his physician, is "not out of the woods yet."

In California, ballots have been mailed to every registered voter in the state, in order to help residents vote during the pandemic. But state officials are concerned about potential issues at voting precincts, in particular from Trump supporters.
