Fall prime time TV has a way of always dominating our screens. There is an aspect of TV that we often overlook but without it, our favorite characters wouldn’t come to life. I’m talking about costume design.
Scream Queens: Dominating fall TV fashion

Every show counts on it’s very own costume designer who goes above and beyond to help us better understand a show's characters through fashion.
With Once Upon a Time and Scandal set to return this fall, you may think it'll be hard to compete with the wardrobes on those shows. Well my friends, there’s a new sheriff in town and it goes by the name of Scream Queens.
Scream Queens, is a horror-comedy series and came from the wonderful mind of Ryan Murphy, who is also known for his work on Glee and American Horror Story.
Costume designer Lou Eyrich, is who we can thank for our new fashion inspo this fall. Eyrich has truly outdone herself, picking one-of-a-kind pieces that distinguish each character's essence.
Here are some looks from the series.

Grace Gardner
Grace Gardner played by Skyler Samuel, plays a young girl new to Univeristy trying to pledge for the same sorority her mother did.
Eyrich dressed her as a good girl but put her in a red sweater. Could that mean Gardner isn't as sweet as she seems? Either way, I love this casual good-girl look!

Gigi Caldwell
Gigi Caldwell is the resident sorority chief. You can see the way she's dressed is indicative of late 80s maybe the 90s.
Acid wash denim is very in these days. Try to give your own spin to this look and channel your inner Caldwell.

Hester "Neckbrace" Ulrich
The reason Hester wears a neckbrace is because she suffers from scoliosis and she doesn't quite fit in.
Eyrich tried dressing her like a Square Peg but if you're creative, this look can be done in a current way.

Zayday Williams
Zayday is stylish and hip yet manages to have a genius IQ. This character is the ultimate modern girl and reflects it in her wardrobe.
I think I have an outfit just like this!

Chanel #3
Chanel #3 is the main minion to the queen b of the sorority. Though she doesn't have an actual name, her style tells us who she is.
It's feminine and has a touch of edge with fingerless gloves and multiple pearl bracelets. Reminds me of a certain Material Girl!

Chanel #5
At first glance, Chanel #5 looks like the wife of a congressman or something. She's a senior in college and wants to have fun but never forgets she's conservative.
You can see that she's a little uptight just by the way she dresses. I'd totally recreate this look though!

Chanel #2
Chanel #2 is an innocent and timid member of the sorority. In this outfit she looks like stylish cotton candy.
Eyrich did a great job on her wardrobe keeping it young, fresh and hip!

Chanel Oberlin
Last but not least, there's Chanel Oberlin! She is the puppet master to the other Chanels and tries to pull everyone's strings!
You can tell she's calm, cool and calculating. The way Eyrich dressed her was preppy-chic without over compensating.
Can't wait to see what other fun outfits I can recreate from Scream Queens season 1.
