Univision's Uforia music app is paying tribute to recently deceased Mexican singer Juan Gabriel, who passed away August 28 in Los Angeles at age 66.

Known as the "Divo of Juárez," the prolific singer-songwriter influenced multiple generations of Latinos, breaking down social and cultural barriers in his country and throughout Latin America. In his 45-year career, Juan Gabriel became an icon of Latin American music, with more than 1,800 songs. Even U.S. President Barack Obama paid tribute to the singer today.
