5 Reasons Sweater Weather is Better Weather

It’s not that I don’t enjoy Summer. It’s that being hot makes me angry and you wouldn’t like me when I’m…well, you get the picture. After a particularly hot summer it feels especially refreshing to wake up to cool breezes and the promise of getting though the day without committing some serious heat-induced violence. Seriously though, Fall just speaks to me for so many reasons. Below, I have outlined the big five. These are the things that make sweater weather, better weather.

Sweaters

Obviously, sweaters are amazing. They are warm and cozy and best of all they allow for a little more freedom in the diet, shall we say. Sweaters look great on everybody and if you’re wearing a sweater you can be sure that you’re not suffering brain melting heat while watching the kids play soccer.

Pumpkin Everything

Like Christmas and flowers from your husband, pumpkin everything comes but once a year. Better get your pumpkin spice latte’s and your pumpkin infused vodka, I mean ice cream, before it’s gone.

Cooler Nights for Sleeping

Even if you do worship the sun (and we can’t be friends), you’ve got to admit that sticky, humid nights make sleep impossible. Tossing and turning next to an equally frustrated and sweaty spouse is also pretty awful. Let the cool air lull you to sleep tonight and tell me again why you love summer?

Great Television

Thank goodness for Netflix, because television in the summer time is brutal. Are we done with reality TV yet? There should be some seriously juicy titles coming out this season. Set your DVRs because surely there will be something with Kevin Bacon worth binging on.

Football

Not that I care, but so many of you do and I really want to be part of all that fun so I decided that this is my year. I promise I will find a way to love the game of football like all you loyal fans out there or else I’ll just continue to scroll Pinterest while my husband watches. Inspiring, aren’t I?

Now say goodbye to summer because it’s finally gone and welcome Autumn with open, and sweater clad arms. I’ll check you guys later, I gotta get in line for that latte.
