Kelly Clarkson has announced that she is pregnant! The singer shared the exciting news at a concert in Los Angeles, California where thousands of fans began to shout in excitement. However, the happy moment didn’t quite end there. Clarkson admitted that not all of her family members were aware that she was expecting.

A new family 

The Behind These Hazel Eyes singer has been married to Brandon Blackstock since 2013. As a token of their love, the couple has 1 child together, River Rose Blackstock. Throughout her entire career, Kelly has been scrutinized for not being "slim". Despite this, she has continued to embrace her curves, proving that she isn’t in the industry to promote an unrealistic stereotype.

Hollywood celebrities, who often gain weight due to pregnancy or even regular women  who aren’t famous―are often criticized for being a few pounds over the standards. Clarkson who is now expecting her second child, couldn’t be more excited to know and share that she is “really pregnant”.

Criticism and pregnancy

Consider that there are millions of girls who may not be a size 0 and look up to Kelly Clarkson. In their idol, they see a “normal” reflection. Often times, a lot of women and girls are influenced by what they see on magazine covers. Many starve, even while pregnant so that they could look thin.
