Owning a little Chihuahua, has taught me so many things throughout the years. As an example, I don’t like to put my dog inside a crate; not only does he not like this, but it gets him very nervous. Here’s a short story ―in the past, I’ve had guests over and his bed was always on the way. This is why, I found 3 areas at home for my dog to nap, without anyone tripping.

3. Bedroom

Being that my dog was raised indoors ― he is used to quiet and calm environments. Placing his bed near my room's closet, has allowed for him to relax and sleep through the night. Small dogs, especially Chihuahua’s tend to be a bit hyperactive. Therefore, every time there are visitors coming and he wants to nap, he knows where to find his spot.

2. Personal bathroom

If your home has more than 1 bathroom, place your best friend’s bed inside the restroom ―that only you would use. Give it a try and with a little bit of time, your dog will know that this is his new place.

1. Close to you

Older dogs, just like mine, enjoy to be near their owners. Place his or her little bed at an area close by and that won’t be in anyone’s way.

Loving and caring for a pet implies a lot of responsibility, but at the end it’s all worth it. Remember that, there won’t be anyone else welcoming you home, with the same enthusiasm as those walking fur balls.

Dogs, just like most humans, could become anxious in a room with a lot of people. To prevent any accidents from happening, assign your canine friend an area that is both comfortable and private.
