Today, early in-person voting kicked off in the key battleground state of Florida. At least 28.1 million people have voted early around the country so far, with new records being set every day.

In large part, due to the coronavirus pandemic, a record number of voters are casting early ballots, by mail or in person. Those registered as Democrats are outperforming Republicans by a margin of more than two to one, a reversal of traditonal early voting patterns. “Trump's administration doesn’t have a plan when it comes to climate change, Joe Biden does. When looking back at Pence, they have been pretty much discouraging us as voters to look at science, that’s not what we want to do at this moment,” says Mateo Gomez, an undecided voter in Miami.
