'El Chapo' paid the price of his war against Arturo Bernal Leyda with his son's life
In the 'El Chapo' series, Joaquín Guzmán Loera faced the start of a new war against 'El Cano', 'Chente' and Arturo Bernal Leyda. His son 'El Moreno' was involved in a confusion that cost him his life.
In the tenth episode of season two of ‘El Chapo’, Arturo Bernal Leyda met with ‘El Cano’ and ‘Chente’ to discuss Guzmán Loera’s grave betrayal and strike an alliance that could endanger his empire.

Along with ‘La Muñeca’, his right-hand man, Arturo assured them they could destroy their former associate’s business with the information he had.

‘El Cano’ warned them that the government would attack them in full force, but he accepted the coalition either way. He also explained Arturo that ‘Los Emes’ and ‘Chente’s hit men would defend Ciudad Juárez and Nuevo Laredo, and that they would have to hit ‘El Chapo’ on his home turf: Culiacán.

To close the deal, the three drug lords and ‘La Muñeca’ shook hands and promised a war in which Guzmán Loera could never defend himself.

Meanwhile, at ‘El Cielo’ ranch in Sinaloa, ‘El Quino’ was being rushed by his mother Alejandra to leave the city. His father had ordered him to stay hidden after his release from prison. They lived in fear of Bernal Leyda’s vengeance.

Alarmed by the situation, doña Esperanza demanded to know how serious the situation was.

Alejandra updated her on the conflict, and revealed that ‘El Quino’s release had unleashed a whole new war.

Meanwhile, in Culiacán, Toño was inspecting one of Arturo Bernal Leyda’s safe houses without being able to find info on his whereabouts.

Moments later, Guzmán Loera was having a meeting with the members of ‘La Federación’ to inform them there was no trace of Arturo, who had become the worst enemy of the organization when he broke the peace.

However, Nazario reprimanded him for betraying Arturo in exchange for his junior’s freedom and blamed him for the wars all over the country.

In front of the men’s astonished looks, the chief of ‘La Familia Michoacana’ declared he would no longer be a member of ‘La Federación’ and that his organization wouldn’t take sides in this war.
