Bernal Leyda promised him he would end up dancing with the drug lords of Ciudad Juarez and Nuevo Laredo.
Univision Story House
In private, ‘El Arriero’ proposed to go with him and bring hitmen to protect him.
Univision Story House
But Arturo asked him to stick to the agreement with ‘Chente’. Besides, he revealed to him that ‘El Chapo’ would give him more power over ‘La Federación’ if he succeeded.
Univision Story House
Meanwhile, ‘Don Sol’ heard Felipe Alarcón on the phone. He complained of a ‘narco’ message denouncing his dealings with ‘El Chapo’. To help him relax, Conrado assured him he would solve the problem.
Univision Story House
He immediately called the drug lord from Sinaloa to inform him he would stop his drug shipments in order to feign equal levels of fighting against drugs with a fake attack agains ‘La Federación’.
Univision Story House
‘El Chapo’ explained he had already set a plan in motion to end conflicts with ‘Los Emes’ and ‘Chente, and there would be results soon.
Univision Story House
On his way to Chihuahua, Arturo blessed himself in front of the Holy Infant of Atocha and resumed his journey to meet the Ciudad Juarez ‘patrón’.
Univision Story House
Upon arrival to the meeting spot, several hitmen surrounded him and informed that ‘Chente’ waited for him in Juarez.

Moments later, he was on board of an light airplaine, blindfolded. He was terrified at the possibility of losing his life.
Univision Story House
He finally arrived at the meeting with his old associate, who was surprised to see his bravery.
Univision Story House
Arturo wasted no time. He said he had come to end the war among cartels.
Univision Story House
‘Chente’ reminded him that ‘El Chapo’s betrayal had brought bloodbath to the whole country. He swore he would never trust him again.
Univision Story House
After the peace offering, ‘Chente’ asked him to wait for ‘El Cano’s answer, knowing he wouldn’t accept the agreement.
Univision Story House
Meanwhile, ‘El Quino’, one of ‘El Chapo’s sons, was managing a drug shipment that had to be moved through tunnels.
Univision Story House
The young heir was boasting about his last name and demanded a high payment for the delivery.
Univision Story House
Moments after the delivery, ‘El Quino’ was driving fast on a highway, playing with his bodyguards and showing his power.
Univision Story House
When he didn’t hear a word from his brother, ‘El Arriero’ asked ‘El Chapo’ and Ismael to start looking for him in the enemy’s territory.
Univision Story House
However, the drug lords asked him to be patient and wait for news about the complicated task.
Univision Story House
Locked in a room, Arturo passed the time thinking about his future. There were only two possibilities: achieving peace or being murdered by ‘El Cano’.
Univision Story House
Unfortunately, ‘Chente’ called him to inform that the boss of ‘Los Emes’ wouldn’t see him, so he had to leave Juarez.
Univision Story House
Worried about Arturo, ‘El Arriero’ revealed ‘El Chapo’ that he had found out the address of one of ‘El Cano’s relatives, which they could use as a safety clause for his brother.
Univision Story House
Arturo didn’t know anything about what his brother was doing. ‘Chente’s men tied his hands and he was sent to Nuevo Laredo, where ‘El Cano’ would take care of him.
Univision Story House
In ‘Los Emes’s territory, Bernal Leyda was taken to see ‘El Cano’, who asked for information about his cousin’s location.
Univision Story House
Arturo swore he was not aware of his relative’s whereabouts, but he asked an opportunity to find out more about his situation.
Univision Story House
‘El Cano’ gave him a minute to talk to Culiacán, but didn’t trust him because he was one of Guzmán Loera’s men.
Univision Story House
In a hurry, Arturo demanded ‘El Arriero’ to let ‘El Cano’s cousin go and chastised him for his actions.
Univision Story House
Furious and in disagreement, ‘El Arriero’ informed him they would let him go in a public square.
Univision Story House
Face to face, ‘El Cano’ took advantage of the moment to say he wouldn’t accept a peace offering; he knew ‘El Chapo’ was upset now that he knew he couldn’t destroy ‘Los Emes’, not even with the army and the federal police.
Univision Story House
When he heard his cousin was found alive and well, ‘El Cano’ congratulated Arturo for his courage.
Univision Story House
Bernal Leyda asked him to trust his word and made himself responsible for all the agreements signed with Guzmán Loera.
Univision Story House
Finally, he was freed and he immediately called ‘El Chapo’.
Univision Story House
Happy and satisfied, he informed him that ‘Chente’ and ‘El Cano’ were willing to make peace negotiations.
Univision Story House
On the great day, Toño warned Guzmán Loera of a possible trap by ‘El Cano’ because the meeting would be in ‘Los Emes’s territory.
Univision Story House
However, ‘El Chapo’ assured him he would kill a few rivals during the struggle before they killed him.
Univision Story House
In Nuevo Laredo, the drug lord from Sinaloa and his associates arrived in ‘Los Emes’s safe house. ‘El Chapo’ couldn’t hide his concern.
Univision Story House
The moment had come: ‘El Chapo’ and the bosses of ‘La Federación’ were face to face with their bloodthirsty enemies.
Univision Story House
‘El Cano’ and ‘Chente’ looked at him with mistrust, knowing he was capable of betraying even his closest friends.
Univision Story House
Unarmed, ‘El Chapo’ and ‘El Cano’ stared at each other after many battles.
Univision Story House
Guzmán Loera broke the silence by complimenting his bravery and they ended up shaking hands.
Univision Story House
In private, Guzmán Loera promised to respect the territories he had lost at war if he received the same treatment.
Univision Story House
‘El Cano’ asked him to intercede for him with the new government so that federal forces didn’t go after him. Then, he toasted for Arturo Bernal Leyda’s successful peace agreement.
Univision Story House
‘El Chapo’ congratulated him as well; Arturo said good times were coming.
Univision Story House
During the celebration, ‘El Chapo’ noticed the close relationship between the Bernal Leyda brothers and ‘El Cano’, who told them ‘La Federación’ needed men like them; he hoped their boss would give them a good reward for the peace agreement.
Univision Story House
From his spot in the party, Joaquín Guzmán Loera watched them talking and felt distrustful.
Univision Story House
In his presidential office, Felipe Alarcón congratulated ‘Don Sol’ for the peace agreement among cartels.
Univision Story House
Conrado had a big smile on his face; he proudly accepted the praise for his job.
Univision Story House
Getting deeper into his cocaine addiction, Arturo Bernal Leyda said to his brother that ‘El Chapo’ owed him for the peace agreement.
Univision Story House
He met with him and Ismael to ask them for more power over ‘La Federación”. He wanted to coordinate operations between the government, Juarez and Nuevo Laredo.
Univision Story House
Unluckily for his ambitions, ‘El Chapo’ asked him to wait; he said this was the right time to expand the business overseas.
Univision Story House
Guzmán Loera met Toño in private and asked him to send ‘Los Gafes’ to watch the Bernal Leydas; he wanted to know their every move.
Univision Story House
In the poppy fields, ‘El Moreno’, ‘El Chapo’s other son, carefully examined the first harvest of his property. He couldn’t wait for his next drug shipment.
Univision Story House
Tired of waiting, Arturo encouraged ‘El Arriero’ to traffic on his own without ‘El Chapo’s permission. To set their plan in motion, they asked ‘Chente’ for help.
Univision Story House
They weren’t aware that ‘El Uno’ and ‘El Bravo’ had intervened their lines to find out about their every step.
Univision Story House
Surprisingly, Arturo was called by Ismael and ‘El Chapo’, who confronted him for wanting to traffic drugs without their permission.
Univision Story House
Guzmán Loera chastised him for skipping the rules, but Bernal Leyda defended his negotiations saying he would make more money for ‘La Federación’.
Univision Story House
During a meal with his sons, the drug lord from Sinaloa chastised ‘El Quino’ for leaving his bodyguards behind, endangering his life.
Univision Story House
However, his heir joked about it and explained he’d go on his third drug crossing to the US.
Univision Story House
Disobeying his father, ‘El Quino’ wanted to boast about his car’s speed once again and left his bodyguards behind.
Univision Story House
Unluckily, a police car stopped him and an officer asked for his ID.
Univision Story House
‘El Quino’ warned him he was ‘El Chapo’s son, but we ended up being arrested anyway.
Univision Story House
When he heard the news of the arrest, Guzmán Loera demanded from his lawyer that he took him out of the situation.
Univision Story House
Minutes later, he called ‘Don Sol’ to tell him what had happened while ‘El Quino’ was being imprisoned.
Univision Story House
In an emergency meeting with Conrado, ‘El Chapo’ demanded his son’s liberation, but he realized the media would make it difficult.
Univision Story House
Facing a complicated negotiation, he said he could give him names of powerful people to clean his image. Upon hearing this request, ‘Don Sol’ asked the names of the drug lords he could take.
Univision Story House
After ‘El Quino’s arrest, Arturo Bernal Leyda visited Guzmán Loera and gave him a cross representing concern for his son. The drug lord thanked him for the gift and asked not to set up any rescue operations.
Univision Story House
Arturo said goodbye, not before reminding him that he and his brother were always available for anything, and he was naive enough to say they would be at home, celebrating ‘El Arriero’s birthday.
Univision Story House
Surrounded by friends, ‘El Arriero’ smiled with joy at his birthday celebration.
Univision Story House
Meanwhile, Arturo picked up the image of the Holy Infant of Atocha from the floor of his car, it had fallen down during a blunt break.
Univision Story House
Neither of the two brothers knew the federal police was already onto them.
Univision Story House
Surprisingly, the police intercepted ‘El Arriero’ when he was leaving home. He revealed his identity and asked to talk to a supervisor.
Univision Story House
In that moment, Arturo found out about his brother’s tragedy and ran away.
Univision Story House
‘El Chapo’ demanded the liberation of his son from 'Don Sol', but he heard only one of his associates had been arrested.
Univision Story House
When he heard the bad news, Ismael urged him to find Arturo. Everything could get complicated, so he ordered his men to find him immediately.
Univision Story House
Far from his persecutors, Arturo watched the news of his brother’s arrest on TV.
Univision Story House
Confused, he called ‘El Chapo’ to ask for an explanation and asked him to help rescue his brother.
Univision Story House
Guzmán Loera calmed him down by saying everything would be okay, and asked him for his location.
Univision Story House
At that moment, Arturo saw on TV that ‘El Quino’ had been freed after ‘El Arriero’s arrest and he understood everything: ‘El Chapo’ had given them away in exchange for his son.
Univision Story House
Hurt with treason, Bernal Leyda reproached his ingratitude and promised a terrible war.
