10 creative ways to tell him you’re pregnant!

Knowing that you’re going to become a mommy is an exciting part of life to look into. Before teaching your husband how to change a diaper ―you must first share the exciting news. With this in mind, iMujer shares with you 10 creative ways to tell your husband that his going to be a daddy!

Grab paper and pencil and make the most out of a moment both of you will cherish an entire lifetime.

10. Special delivery

Does your honey love a specific store in particular? Find an empty box from his favorite place to shop and place a baby sweater inside of it. Seal everything, so that it looks legitimate and tell him, “You’ve got mail!"

9. Dad's paying for dinner!

Find any excuse to take him out for dinner. Can’t think of one? Get your hair done and mention how you want to show it off! Work something out with the waiter and ―on the check― write “Thank you for the food dad, but it’s your turn to treat mom.”

8. Baby bootie 

Place a baby bootie on top of the bed with a special note telling him that he’s going to be a daddy.

7. On video

If you love family-home videos, find the right moment in which you could ask him “how does it feel to know you’re going to be a dad?”

In the future, the entire family could look at this video and laugh at his reaction.

6. So, do we call your mom now? 

Out of nowhere ask him if it would be OK to call his mom! When he asks why, tell him ―so we could tell her she’s going to be a grandma!

5. Does this make me look too pregnant? 

Start to try on clothes and suddenly pop the question!  

4. Use pictures to tell him

Take several photos of your belly and write underneath each picture, or in the back ―Will you be my dad?

3. Change his background image  

Does your husband spend too much time using the computer? Change his background image, to a picture from your ultrasound or pregnancy test and notice how happy he’s going to feel!

2. Welcome home dad surprise! 

Decorate a room in the house with balloons and a sing that says, “Welcome home daddy!” If you get the opportunity, invite his friends over so that everyone could celebrate!
The trick for this surprise is to make him believe that you’re mad about what the family pet did inside the room. This way, he won’t have the slightest clue of what awaits. 

1. What's my temperature? 

Make him believe that you’re sick and ask for him to read the temperature from the thermometer, which of course will be a pregnancy test.

In the past, some of my girlfriends shared how before knowing they were pregnant; her husbands were also experienced morning sickness. If this is the case, maybe he can imagine that he’s going to be a dad. But, no worries ―if what you really want is to surprise him― don’t share the news right away and using one of our ideas, tell him how in just a few months his life will completely change.
