Victor Guzman: "DACA has given me the opportunity to fight in the United States for my people"
"I have been fighting for social justice for five years, that I feel that I can no longer return to the shadows, I cannot remain silent. I don't know how I can contribute to this movement in the United States, but I feel like I'm going to keep fighting in any way I can," says the young activist.

Guzman began his activism at age 20 looking for job improvements for fast food restaurant workers. "My colleague invited me to a workers' meeting, he told me that we deserved to earn more, that we deserved to have health benefits," he recalls.

"The fight is no more about DACA, it's a fight for immigrant rights, the lgbtq community, against white supremacy, because these things affect us all and affect us most in the undocumented community, so for me it is very important to unite, "says Guzman.

"Previously I had been meeting with a group of undocumented students, but in a way I did not feel represented, because I say I am undocumented but there's more to it," says Guzman.
