Like many of you, when I think of the election, I think of my family.

A U.S. military invasion of Venezuela? Just Say No
John Feeley

Despite a near universal desire for an end to Venezuela’s manmade disaster, sending in U.S forces to take out the Maduro regime would be counter-productive. It should be categorically rejected by interim president Juan Guaidó, not to mention the Trump administration.

Hypocrisy, Documented
Jorge Ramos

The firing of undocumented workers at Trump's golf clubs just shows how the practice of employing immigrants without legal work papers is much more common than we might imagine. Such is life in the United States.

The Irony of the 'Troika of Terrorism' and Trump's Disdain for Multilateralism
John Feeley

The United States has had a major role in the evolving drama of the fight for democracy in Venezuela and Nicaragua. And so far, it’s been surprisingly coordinated, a veritable model of multilateralism.

Has the Maduro regime reached breaking point? It remains hard to say, but tomorrow is another - more hopeful - day for the restoration of democracy in the South American nation.

Is Trump a Racist?
Jorge Ramos

It’s impossible to get into Trump’s head but what comes out of his mouth are racist remarks. But, saddest of all are the millions who tolerate his views, cheer him on and emulate his behavior.

Uncle Sam: Do Your Due Diligence
John Feeley

The time is well past due for the U.S. government to conduct a thorough review of leaders and their senior colleagues before they leave office to determine if they merit visas.

Like many Latino families, my family’s a happy mixture. My mother is Mayan and Spanish; she immigrated from Guatemala as a young girl. My father is white: his family came from Liechtenstein, Ireland, and Italy. I know very well that no space exists for my family in Trump’s America, a sentiment many of you share. We must remember that this election presents an opportunity for us to create a better future for our families.

We know what a Trump Presidency means for our community. We’ve known from the moment he announced. Trump sees the Latino community as little more than a boogeyman to scare his supporters, and cheap labor to build his hotels. Does it surprise anyone that Donald Trump has so little support from Latinos?

We support Hillary Clinton for President. Many of us proudly say “I’m with Her." Why? We’re with her because she’s committed to building an economy that works for all, not just those at the top. We’re with her because she understands that no one should go into debt pursuing an education. We’re with her because she is committed to creating a broad and equitable path to citizenship. We are with her because Hillary Clinton sees us as a community that deserves respect; a community that’s an integral part of our country.

Election Day is nearly here. Those who fear us, Trump and his supporters, want us to stay at home and not get involved. However the Latino community has never been one to sit still and stay home when the stakes are high. Now more than ever it is time for us to demonstrate our power. Please join me and thousands of others as we work to elect Hillary Clinton as our next President. Hasta la victoria!
