Arnoldo and his family had to flee El Salvador because of gang violence over a year ago. They arrived in Belize and asked for asylum within the 14 days the law in this country requires. Since then, they've been waiting, without being able to work and suffering racist attacks. Belize has not approved any asylum claim since the 1980s.
