Nothing can stop his ambition: Don Sol is back in control
After a receiving a big political blow, ‘Don Sol’ must use all his intelligence to make his way back to the presidential team.
At the beginning of ‘ El Chapo’s season two, ‘ Don Sol’ started running for deputy in Mazatlán’s Sixth District with the Partido Trabajador Institucional. He was sure he would win.

When the Partido Trabajador Institucional lost the election, ‘Don Sol’ had to recover from a terrible blow. However, he still believes that his “great career” and his expertise in drug trafficking will get him into the new government.

‘Don Sol’ gets disappointed once again when, in a meeting, the new Mexican president takes him out of politics with these words: “My team and I have decided to dispense with your services”.

‘Don Sol’ will not let all his work go to waste. He asks the president’s wife to speak on his behalf and help him get back onto his position. However, her answer is simply “there was no luck, unfortunately”.

After ‘El Chapo’s escape, ‘Don Sol’ proposes an alliance: “You give me the Avendaños, I use that victory to get back into the government and make them stop chasing you”. They close the deal shaking hands.

With the murder of Ramón Avendaño, the first step of ‘Don Sol’s plan was complete. He immediately informed the new president of Mexico, who couldn’t believe his ears and sent his Secretary of the Interior to investigate the murder.

With the support of the police and the army, ‘Don Sol’ didn’t need to waste a single bullet in the arrest of the Tijuana cartel leader. He informed ‘El Chapo’ that the government would no longer be after him, and his extradition process would be archived.
