Other notables at the gala were: John Legend, Tracee Ellis Ross, Tyler Perry, Jon Hamm, Ken Burns, Nick Jonas, Jill Scott, and Lena Dunham. Although cell phones were not permitted into the party, numerous attendees tweeted from the festivities.

PUBLICIDAD
  • Back in 2008, Paul McCartney -- who had previously never publicly endorsed a candidate for U.S. President -- did so for Barack Obama. Back in '08, he told us how happy he was with America choosing Obama for the job: "I was like so fingers crossed that he would win it. There was always that idea that (Senator John) McCain might sort of slip in. So, I'm just so chuffed. I think a lot of people are, anyway, but I am. I think he's sincerely the man for the job, I think it's a legendary occasion, and I wish him the very best. And I hope to get the opportunity to sing a song that he'd like to sing to his wife. I have a little song ready for him -- (sings) 'Michelle, come on.'"
  • Paul McCartney will next perform on April 27th, 29th, and 30th in Tokyo, Japan's The Dome.
