Alice Cooper and Deep Purple have announced a 19-date summer shed tour featuring the Edgar Winter Band as their support act. Deep Purple, who announced the trek via their official website ( DeepPurple.com), also posted the news that their new album, titled Infinite, will be released April 7th, 2017. The set once again finds legendary Kiss, Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper, and Lou Reed producer Bob Ezrin behind the boards. The triple-bill summer jaunt is a continuation of Deep Purple's "Long Goodbye" tour, and kicks off on August 12th at Las Vegas' Chelsea Theater, and wraps up on September 10th in Cincinnati, Ohio at Riverbend Music Center.

Alice Cooper told us that the days of blowing an audience's mind with stage theatrics have really changed over the decades: "I don't think you can shock an audience anymore, really. I mean, CNN's more shocking than anything Marilyn Manson or I can do, because (laughs), they used to hang me onstage, now you see people really getting hung on TV. So the idea is just to bombard the audience with vaudeville-type of burlesque comedy -- but make sure the music is the basis of everything. I mean, you can't put icing on the cake without the cake. So a 10-hour rehearsal is nine hours on the music, and one hour on the theatrics." :
