Jorge Ramos explores his LA roots: watch the premiere of 'Real America', Univision's new show on Facebook Watch

The new Univision program premiered on Facebook Watch on Thursday. Ramos says it's "the most personal thing" he has done in journalism. Watch the first episode, shot in Los Angeles, in which he returns to his university and talks to new Asian immigrants.

In his 35-year career, Jorge Ramos has traveled around the world looking for stories. But for the debut show of 'Real America', a new vertical news format that premiered on Thursday on Facebook Watch, he decided to return to Los Angeles, the city where he first became a migrant after coming to study in the United States.

Besides his own very personal story, in the first chapter of 'Real America,' he visits Koreatown, the Asian neighborhood of Los Angeles, which has experienced the newest wave of immigration shaping the United States. 'Real America', will air every Thursday on Facebook Watch at 7pm Eastern Time:
