According to data from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) obtained by Houston Public Media through a ‘Freedom of Information Act Request’ there were at least 284 cases of mumps at federal immigration detention facilities in Texas since last fall. Dr. Jody Rich, Professor of Medicine at Brown University, and a volunteer with Physicians for Human Rights, spoke to UNews about this outbreak.
