Rene Coronado grew up in shocking poverty in Guatemala shining shoes after school when he was only 8 years old to survive. He migrated to Los Angeles, and has since earned recognition as a biologist and the only Latino to manage a museum that holds the largest collection of birds’ eggs in the world.
