A team of doctors performed the first fetal surgery for spina bifida at Ohio's Cleveland clinic, back in February. At the time, the fetus was at 23 weeks’ gestation. Dr. Darrell Cass, director of fetal surgery at Cleveland Clinic's fetal center, led the multi-specialty team and spoke to UNews about this amazing surgery.
