The demand for travel nurses has increased by 40% in the last month. “New York was the first travel assignment I have ever taken… It was almost like a well-oiled machine. Nurses were in and out every day and there were a lot of patients,” says Lisseth DeGracia, an emergency room nurse in St. Paul, Minnesota, working with the agency Fastaff Travel Nursing.
