This morning David Ortiz, or 'Big Papi' to his fans, is recovering in a Dominican Republic hospital after being shot in a nightclub in his hometown of Santo Domingo. Ortiz underwent successful surgery, but his injuries are serious. A suspect was taken into custody just outside the club.
