Rodrigo Abed is Amado in 'El Chapo'

When the series begins, he is 40 years old and serving as the right hand man to Miguel Ángel in the Guadalajara Cartel.

After the arrest of the “Boss of Bosses,” Amado is summoned by the Mexican government to lead and corral the remaining members of the organization, becoming something of a reluctant leader, serving at the orders of both the Mexican and U.S. governments.

Amado is unable to achieve lasting, controlled peace between 'El Chapo' and the Avendaño brothers.
