Los del Río released "Macarena" on August 15, 1995 via CD and cassette. The spanish dance song is about a woman of the same name. The track quickly became an international sensation and is a popular dance at weddings, quinceañeara's and parties of all sorts.

In 2002, the jam "Macarena" was ranked the number one "Greatest One-Hit Wonder of All Time" by VH1. The song peaked ata the top of the Billboard All-Time Hot 100 at number seven and number one on the Billboard Hot 100 at the time of it's release.
