"You Make Me Wanna" was written by Usher along with Jermaine Dupri and Manuel Seal who also produced the track.
The song placed a perspective on a love triangle relationship with someone who in love wants to leave their girlfriend to start a new relationship with someone else. In Usher's eyes, it was leaving his girlfriend for his former best friend.
This classic hit the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart coming in at number two. At the end of the decade charts for the Billboard Hot 100, the track was ranked at number 45.
