Mya released “Case of the Ex” on August 28, 2000. “Case of the Ex” was written and composed by Christopher “Tricky” Stewart and Traci Hale. The jam was released on the second studio album Fear of Flying. Originally composed as a rap song, the lyrics turned the song into an upbeat R&B jam.
