Mambo No. 5 peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on November 2, 1999. At the end of the year the song made it to the 42nd spot on the Billboard Year End Chart.
The song gained a lot of attention that Disney made their own kid-friendly remake of the song using Disney characters with Lou Bega singing the lyrics.
