The classic jam "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!)" by the Beastie Boys was released in 1986 and was featured as the fourth single on the Licensed to Ill album.

Written by Adam Yauch, who passed away from cancer at the age of 47 in 2012 and friend Tom "Tommy Triphammer" Cushman, their video appealed to those who were in college partying it up.

The music video is setup when a mother is telling her sons: "Now boys, don't get into any trouble while mommy and daddy are gone... And don't make a mess!" When the coast is clear, one of the boys asked: "Do you like parties? We can invite all our friends and have soda and pie." Then suddenly...

The song hit the Billboard Hot 100 peaking on the chart at number seven.
