Alfonso Rodríguez, 24, has an American passport but lives in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. "It's much better for me to earn in dollars and spend in pesos," he said. It's taken him up to an hour and a half to cross the border.

Ana Raquel Solís, 36, brought a package to the bus station to send to Kansas including tamarinds, cheese, and other items. She crosses from Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, to El Paso, Texas, once a week.

Jesús Sánchez, 69, brought back an empty cart after bringing supplies to his family in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. He lives in El Paso, Texas and crosses the border three times a week. Today it took 15 minutes, though recently it's taken an hour on foot and two hours by car.
