Hurricane Harvey Updates

Harvey reached Texas as a powerful category 4 hurricane near the city of Rockport at 10pm central standard time. The storm had winds up to 130MPH with a minimum pressure of 938mb according to the National Hurricane Center.

• Rockport, TX: The city of Rockport took a direct hit from Hurricane Harvey when it hit the mainland as a category 4 storm. The mayor of the Texas city told people who are bunkering down to get out or write their social security number on their arm.

• Corpus Christi, TX: Hurricane Harvey showed up at the bay city with high winds and heavy rain.

• Houston, TX: experienced high winds and torrential flooding.
