70 hospitales de Texas figuran entre los más seguros del país y 18 están en el área de Houston

HOUSTON, Texas. - En Texas se encuentran 70 de los hospitales más seguros del país, de los cuales 18 se encuentran en Houston y áreas aledañas. Así lo documenta un estudio de The Leapfrog Group, una organización sin fines de lucro que realiza evaluaciones sobre el sistema de salud, que se publicó el pasado martes.

La organización, creada en el año 2000, produce un informe en el que evalúa a 2,500 hospitales en todo EEUU con base en datos recopilados sobre número de infecciones en pacientes, complicaciones durante cirugías, problemas de seguridad y prácticas para evitar errores, entre otros.

The Leapfrog Group asigna a cada hospital evaluado las letras A, B, C, D y F, donde A indica la mejor calificación y F la peor.
