Better late than ever you may think after reading the title! Over 32 years ago, Vanessa Williams had to resign to her title as Miss. America due to nude photos that had emerged. Nevertheless, time can heal and change mostly anything and with this came an unexpected apology from the pageant’s CEO.

Being the first African American winner from the pageant certainly opened many doors to Miss. Williams who worked to have an extraordinary career. The apology was not only intended for Vanessa, but for her beloved mother as well, who also happened to be in the audience.
