Ever since Caitlyn Jenner came out with her story the world has learned more about the transgender community. A new show called I am Jazz gives viewers a different perspective on a topic that has circumnavigated the planet.
New show: Meet Jazz she’s a transgender girl!

Jazz, who is a 14 year old teenager allowed for cameras to follow her everyday life as a girl; showing others what type of changes, discrimination, and bullying a person that was born different undergoes.

The plot
Jeanette and Greg gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, but as he grew older something didn’t seem right. Since a very young age, Jazz knew that she was stuck in the wrong body and began to show sings. As an example, she would ask her mom to dress her up as a girl and would even wear her big sisters clothing and shoes.
The entire family didn’t quite understand what was going on, but it was Jazz’s grandparents who took this change the hardest. During their generation no one spoke about transgender people nor did they know what it was. Thankfully, with the use of the internet they were able to learn more about a topic that during contemporary times is so common.

Hormones and life
At 14, Jazz is not sure if having a sexual reassignment surgery is in the cards for her as she’s grown to be so accustomed to her body. However, before hitting puberty she began to take hormones to prevent facial hair and other manly characteristics from happening while allowing for her breasts to naturally grow.

Dating and high school
Jeannette is very afraid of what the future holds now that her daughter is about to enter high school. Although Jazz has a handful of friends, she doesn’t want for her little girl to experience any more discrimination or bullying. The last years of school could be so stressful as it is, imagine adding more drama to the equation.
Most boys who know all about Jazz, don’t go to parties or friend dates where she is at. As time passes, it’s obvious that’ll she find someone who loves and accepts her. This is why it is very important to reinforce respect for others in children and young adults. Everyone on the planet is different and has the right to live the life he or she always envisioned.
