The Miss USA pageant has a new queen who took the crown with her to Oklahoma. The beautiful blonde was crowned in a gorgeous hot pink dress leaving Miss Texas as the first runner up. The pageant was seen by millions of people who also witnessed some difficulties Miss Nevada encountered along the way.

More than just looks
Oklahoma won the Miss USA title at a pageant that’ll guarantee a ticket in Miss Universe. Texas, who came in second place (first runner up) dazzled the audience with her charismatic laugh and unique walk. But, the night was not all glitz and glam as there was a candidate who got a bit nervous.
When Ms. Nevada was asked what she would do to improve race relations in the U.S., the answer turned out to be not so specific.
“What I would do to improve race relations in the U.S., is get more racist groups together and be able to be with each other in a non…let’s see…I apologize… I think what we need to do is bring… We need to be more accepting of each other and we need to bring people together that’s what I think we need to do...”
The bad part in all of this is that Miss Nevada also tripped and stumbled on her dress. In past years, Miss Universe candidates have even fallen on stage. How much pressure do you think these girls go through?

In the end, the results determined that Oklahoma was going to represent American women in the most important pageant in the world. Making mistakes on stage is normal, because it’s only part of being human. Woman from all ethnicities and races are beautiful and unique in their own way.
