Your kids will love to create their own bouncy balls. You may eventually regret it when you find one with your foot while carrying a load of laundry up the stairs but I promised these experiments will be safe for kids, not necessarily safe for you. Either way, the kids will think you’re the coolest and the best part is, they’ll have created a toy that they can play with for hours. Kids can be pretty easy to please if you give them a chance. This one looks amazing, doesn’t it? To be fair, I have personally tried the rest of the science experiments on this list but have yet to create the shaving cream rain clouds. It won’t be long before I tackle this one with my girls. I can see it will be a bit messy so we may wait for a warm enough day to do it outside on the deck. If you try it, please let us know how it went. For instructions visit http://onelittleproject.com/shaving-cream-rain-clouds/

This might be the coolest thing to hit the internet in forever. Who would have thought it would take sixty seconds, a bar of soap and a microwave to blow your mind. When choosing this experiment make sure you don’t tell the kids what to expect. Make a list of their predictions and see if they come close. This is a great one to video so the kids can watch it over and over again. For instructions visit http://happyhooligans.ca/ivory-soap-microwave-experiment/

I’m not one to brag but I almost came fourth in a science fair with this genius little experiment. Of course, this was many years ago but the experiment still holds intrigue today. The best part about this one is you’ll have a lovely centerpiece when you are done. For Instructions visit http://gosciencegirls.com/colour-changing-flowers-science-experiment-kids/

This one couldn’t be any simpler. You already have everything you need in your house. Grab a plastic bag and some sharp pencils to prove to your kids that this is no optical illusion. You can pierce that bag full of water without any leaks, and so can they. For instructions visit http://pagingfunmums.com/2014/05/25/leak-proof-bag-kids-science-experiment/
