Former star athlete Bruce Jenner surprised many people with a courageous revelation on his sexual orientation. Ever since, the world learned more about the transgender community through the life of a person that just wants to feel happy.

Recently, Caitlyn Jenner took the streets of New York ―dazzling all expectators who patiently waited to show their support.

Most people believe that if a family member were to become transgender, they would grieve the loss of a loved one. This is not the case, there are a lot of human beings out there trapped inside the wrong body.

Way before Bruce courageously told his story, I met  YouTube superstar, Gigigorgeous. Somehow, when I greeted and spoke to Gigi ―nothing about her resembled a male.

Of course, with the help of plastic surgery, physically she looked like a female. But, what I perceived was way more than this. How Gigi carried herself and spoke is not something that could be easily learned. If you watch her videos, since a very young age she’s always felt and acted “different”.

Happily ever after 

Most people who are transgender, need love and support from their family above all. People change, but always remember that is not how or why they do so that counts. What’s important is that they remain the same person on the inside.

If you know of someone who wants to be identified as a different gender, support and respect that person. Everyone has the right to live his or her life the way they want to. Keep in mind, that Caitlyn’s transformation is not all about the glitz in the glam, but about helping other people.
