A van ploughed through pedestrians on Barcelona's famous La Rambla on Thursday. Police confirmed several people were killed and injured. Vehicles have been used since 2016 to attack crowds in a series of attacks by extremists in several European cities such as Nice, Berlin, London and Stockholm.
