Justin Bieber's choice to terminate the 'Purpose' Tour may have been motivated by his religion.

E! News is reporting that on Sunday, July 24th, Bieber had been golfing in Los Angeles with two Christian pastors: Carl Lentz (of Hillsong Church) and Judah Smith (of The City Church.) One day later, Bieber cancelled his national tour. The singer, who is said to have been close friends of the pastors for some time, has gone to church with them and has relied on them for support. There has been no confirmation that his time with them on Sunday had any direct impact on the termination of his tour. While many people are speculating that the tour has been called off due to religious circumstances, Bieber and his manager Scooter Braun have only said that exhaustion and Bieber's well being has been the only reason to end the tour early.

Shortly after Bieber announced the cancellation, Braun also posted a message about the tour cancellation to his Instagram account.

In addition to Braun's words of encouragment, fellow pop singer John Mayer has come to Bieber's defense by posting a series of tweets to show his support.

Robbie Rob from 98.5 The Beat took some time to talk about it on air.
