Denzel Hayes Washington, Jr., es un afamado actor y director estadounidense, nacido el día 28 de diciembre de 1954 en Mount Vernon, Nueva York.

Carismático y triunfador, fue galardonado con dos premios Óscar y un Premio Tony. Sus primeras apariciones fueron en obras teatrales escolares, y luego de su graduación, se mudó a San Francisco para ingresar al Conservatorio Americano de Artes Dramáticas.

Abandonó sus estudios luego de tan sólo un año, para comenzar a trabajar como actor. No encontró mayores dificultades en esto, siendo desde entonces uno de los actores más codiciados por las productoras de cine y televisión.
