In life, not everything falls under a pink world full of fantasy; find out how to empower yourself within a relationship.

Innocence and love
Take into perspective that age is just a number, there are people who never mature. However, if what you want is to be in a stable relationship with another person, it is important for you to keep your eyes wide open. Consider that not everything is rainbows and butterflies. There are signs which could tell you if he’s a keeper or not.
As an example, respect should be the number 1 priority. Why is this? Because if he respects you despite any circumstances, then he deserves your love! For instance, while I was completing my undergraduate degree, I had so many friends who were dating guys that were just good at ruining their mascaras (making them cry).
Deep down, they loved them so much that in their hearts they still believed that their boyfriends would someday day change. As time passed, 99% of those relationships went down the drain. Simply because out of everything that went wrong, there was no respect.
The apple's formula
In the past, I have used the example of the 2 apples. Take into perspective the following: Imagine splitting an apple in half. One half represents you and the other the person you’re with. Try putting both slices back together. Overtime, what will happen? By logic, the apple will rotten a lot quicker than if it was whole.
The same applies to relationships. In order for you to be in a stable relationship, two whole apples need to meet so that everything could last longer.
Stronger than yesterday
As a woman, you don’t need a man to complete you ―you complete yourself. There isn’t anything more inspiring and motivational than a woman who doesn’t require validation from anyone. Always feel confident of who you are and don’t allow for your partner to change you. Consider that if he truly loves you he will accept you just as you are. If there is anything that should be changed, start talking about it since the beginning.
Despite all circumstances give him the respect you would like to see in return. Love one another and don’t share personal problems with friends or even family as this could intensify the situations. In such a big, yet small world ―there is always someone for everyone.
If your feminine intuition tells you that he isn’t the right person for you, then believe it because you will not be wrong and that’s certain.
Here’s a video; the song was written by Taylor Swift to her best friend who believed in a guy that broke her heart due to innocence.
With what characteristics do you envision the man of your dreams?
