Young Dems are with Her

Maybe more than any other group, millennials have benefited from President Obama and Democrats' work to alleviate student loan debt, reform banking regulations, and allow young people to stay on their parent's health insurance or purchase affordable coverage. We've made some great strides, but those gains are in peril. We are especially grateful to Senator Bernie Sanders for his successful efforts to engage young people about the issues that matter most to us and incorporate them into our party's platform. We agree with the Senator that Hillary Clinton is the best possible option for Americans of all ages this November 8th.

While a Trump presidency would destabilize our economy, our society, and our foreign relations in ways that we cannot yet predict, we aren't casting our votes against Donald Trump. We're enthusiastically voting for Hillary, because she stands with us on issues of marriage equality, criminal justice reform, and women's reproductive rights. We're with Hillary, because our entire lives, we've watched her build coalitions that provided health insurance for millions of children as First Lady, protected our 9-11 first responders as a Senator from New York, and made our world safer as Secretary of State.

We're with Hillary not just because of the progress we wish to protect. We're with her, because of what we hope to someday accomplish. We're with her, because we look forward to a day when men and women of color have no reason to fear a routine traffic stop. We're with her, because we are hopeful for a time when LGBT+ workplace and housing discrimination is a thing of the past. We're with her, because we want pay equality for women, ethnic minorities, and the disabled. For these reasons, and so many more, we stand with her, we support her, and we can’t wait to vote for her and Democrats up and down the ballot across the country.
