Pet lovers this post is dedicated to our beloved fur babies. Miami has more than just great beaches, it has places in which our dogs could walk or run while interacting with others. Owning a Chihuahua myself, has taken me to parks and beaches where my little guy has had so much fun.

South Pointe Park

South Pointe in Miami Beach has a beautiful sidewalk which starts by the boat docks and ends right before white beautiful sand. Most people who visit this park take their bikes, children and pets. There is an area designated for dogs, where they could run and play with other furry friends. Sadly, the beach at South Pointe doesn’t allow animals, but don’t feel discouraged because your family as well as yourself could have so much all throughout the park.

Another activity families enjoying doing at South Pointe are picnics. There isn’t any excuse as to why you can’t walk your dog.

Key Biscayne Beach

Just short off the bridge is a little beach where pet owners take their adorably growling family members. With sparkling white sand, your dog could feel like a little celebrity by running and playing in the water with other dogs.

One tip, is to take fresh water and food for the “entire” family as there will be lots of physical activity throughout the sunny day.

Don’t forget to take a walk around the bridge at Key Biscayne which has convenient-protected sidewalks for families to enjoy.

 Coconut Grove Dog Park

Pet owners with small dogs will love this park! Dogs could run all throughout, but keep in mind that there are 2 gated areas which separate dogs by their weight. This is excellent, because sometimes small dogs could be very shy and sensitive. Right by the park is the bay and a small wooden bridge for you to get some fresh air coming straight from the bay. If you plan on going with your children, there is a very fun playground and volleyball court.

As part of a healthy lifestyle, women are recommended to incorporate exercising into their daily routine. For moms and for those of us who have not experienced mother hood, but love our fur babies - there are parks for the entire “ family” to enjoy. Make sure to wear SPF while visiting any of the parks and to please pick up after your pet.
