One person coming forward with charges against the R&B singer is Quantisia Sharpton. Sharpton spoke publicly at a press conference for the first time alongside her lawyer, Lisa Bloom. In her statement, Sharpton says she was 19 years old when she had sexual relations with the Grammy-winning artist, who did not communicate that he had herpes.
Sharpton says that she did not contract herpes after her encounter, however, she says she felt violated that the singer did not reveal his positive status. She says that had she known of his status prior, she never would have agreed to having sex with him.
Usher has not made any public statements about the allegations so far.
