In Texas, while a fire raged at a Houston area chemical plant back in March, county officials gave frequent updates to the community. One of those officials stood out, Harris County judge, Lina Hidalgo, who gave her updates in both English and Spanish and was criticized by another elected official for her bilingual updates.
