In photos: Panama's former dictator, Manuel Antonio Noriega, dead at 83.

Noriega ruled Panama from 1983 to 1989 when the United States invaded the country and arrested him on drug charges. After 20 years in jail in Miami he was extradited to France on money laundering charges. Three years later he was sent back to Panama and imprisoned for murder and corruption. He died late Monday aged 83.
