This is the end of an era

It looks like the San Antonio Spurs will be retiring the number 9 jersey. According to a report from French media outlet LeParisie, the Spurs will hang up Tony Parker's jersey in the rafters of the AT&T Center on November 11th when the Spurs take on the Memphis Grizzlies.

Parker retired from the NBA this past summer saying that he couldn't play at a high level anymore.

If this report is true, TP will join Tim Dunan and Manu Ginobili closing the era of the big 3.

Parker performed 17 seasons with the Spurs before joining Charlotte. He helped the Spurs take four of the five NBA championship titles. Also, TP was named the 2007 NBA Finals MVP and had became an All-Star representing the Spurs on numerous occasions.

Parker will also be eligible for the Basketball Hall of Fame.
