Blue Bell Voluntarily Recalls Ice Cream

Check your freezers to see if you have any contaminated ice cream.

Blue Bell Ice Cream is issuing a voluntary recall on Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Cookie Two Step ice cream. The recall is due to concerns over possible listeria contamination of those two flavors of ice cream.

Check to see if you can identify the affected ice cream by looking for the code date on the container.

Half-gallon Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough - 082618226
Half-gallon Cookie Two Step - 080418222, 081818224

Pint-sized Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough - 081518242 & 081818224

The company stated that consumers should not eat any of the product and is encouraging to return to the store you purchased from for a full refund.

The company found the contamination when they were conducting routine internal testing. Blue Bell has not recieved any reports of illnesses.
