UPDATE: 8/22/17 - 10:25 AM
Mystikal has turned himself in to the Caddo Parrish Sheriff's Department in Shreveport, Louisiana.
More details of the alleged sexual assault are being revealed. According to TMZ, the incident happened at a casino in Louisiana where Mystikal was set to perform. The rapper's team told TMZ that the charges are false. His bond is still set at $2 million.
Edit: The original article previously reported that Averweone Holman was a woman, which is incorrect. Holman is a 26-year-old man who was arrested in Killeen in connection to the case. Police are allegedly looking for a 46-year-old woman from Texas by the name of Tenichia Wafford, who authorities say tried to persuade the victim to change her story. Wafford is facing a charge of accessory after the fact to first-degree rape. Her bond is set at $200,000.
Rapper Mystikal is wanted in Louisiana for sexual misconduct.
According to boom945.com, Mystikal pleaded guilty to extortion and sexual battery in 2003. He was sentenced to serve prison time and was released six years later (in January 2010.)
Now it appears he has found himself in trouble again. This past weekend, reports surfaced that authorities in Shreveport are looking for him and another man, Averweone Holman, in connection to an alleged sexual assault from October 2016. Investigators allegedly have evidence that links Mystikal and Holman to the case. Police have reportedly obtained warrants for both of them.
On Friday, August 18, U.S. Marshalls arrested Holman in Killeen, Texas. They are allegedly still looking for Mystikal.
The rapper is best known for such hits as 'Shake It Fast,' 'Here I Go' and 'Danger.'
