Law enforcement released more details about the patient "Jim Jones" a.k.a. Kanye West, a 39-year-old 5'8" male about 175 pounds suffering from temporary pschosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration which was diagnosed by Dr. Michael Farzam.
According to an update by TMZ, Kanye West was placed on a "5150 hold." According to the state of California, a "5150" hold" authorizes a qualified officer or clinician to involuntarily confine a person suspected to have a mental disorder that makes them a danger to themselves or others. It is unclear if Dr. Farzam placed Kanye under the "5150 hold".

According to TMZ, law enforcement officials did a welfare check on Kanye West. After West was a little belligerent with authorities saying that he didn't want to go, the officers called an ambulance to the scene where they could evaluate West further. It was said that West was restrained and taken by ambulance to UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles around 3:20PM (CST).
Sources told TMZ that West was being evaluated by a doctor and the doctor had ruled that West to be admitted for severe sleep deprivation and will conduct a mental evaluation.
Earlier today (Nov. 21) Kanye West had immediately canceled the rest of the Saint Pablo Tour without notice.
